Welcome to the selection process for the role of Motion Graphics Artist at Master’s Union Creative Studio.

We have created this assignment to gauge how you think of storytelling through motion, your design sensibility, and your understanding of what connects with a young, internet-native audience.

Let’s get to the task.

The Assignment

Task 1 : You are tasked with creating a dynamic motion graphic video based on a provided script/voice-over (VO), using 2D motion graphics.

The focus should be on making the content visually engaging, while effectively conveying the message. Here’s the Voice-over (VO) to be used: Voicenote

Evaluation Criteria

• Narrative Clarity and Interpretation – Does the narrative flow make sense and complement the script?
• Creativity and Innovation – How well you think outside the box and create something fresh.
• Technical Proficiency – how well you’ve used your technical skills in executing the motion graphics including the quality of animations, smoothness of transitions, timing, etc.
• Engagement and Retention – Does it make viewers want to stick around for more? Feel free to be bold and experiment. We’re looking for someone who can make every second count.

Submission Guidelines

Final Deliverables:

• Final video file (.MP4, 1920x1080)
• Attach the assignment in an email that must be sent to us. In the email, a description of the creative decisions you made and why (be as descriptive as possible). Ex: how did you interpret the visual concept?
• Attach the consolidated project file (After Effects, Blender, etc.) ****to an email and mail it to [email protected] and CC [email protected] with the Subject Line: “I want to create the work of my life: here’s proof”

Feel free to be bold and experiment. We’re looking for someone who can make every second count.
